Dr Shahin Moledina is the Lead Clinician for the National Paediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Service UK and part of the Pulmonary Hypertension team at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Dr Moledina trained as a Paediatric Cardiologist at both the Royal Brompton Hospital and GOSH, London.
During his training, he undertook a fellowship in paediatric pulmonary hypertension under the tutelage of Professor Haworth. This ignited his interest in pulmonary hypertension (PH) and prompted him to undertake further research exploring the potential of MRI as a tool for understanding the pathophysiology of PH.
He now heads the National Paediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Programme and is a member of the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute (PVRI) Paediatric and Congenital Heart Disease task force as well as the Association for European Paediatric Cardiology (AEPC) Pulmonary Hypertension and Heart Failure working group.
