Dr Verity McClelland

Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist

Overview

Dr Verity McClelland is a Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist focussing on paediatrics. Her clinical work at GOSH involves reading and interpreting EEGs and performing and interpreting nerve conduction studies and electromyography in children.

Her research interests are in sensorimotor development and childhood movement disorders. She currently holds an MRC Post-doctoral Clinical Research Training Fellowship at King’s College London, investigating EEG measures of sensorimotor processing in children with dystonia. Her research aims to better understand the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying movement disorders in children, with the goal of providing a more individualised approach to therapy.
