GOSH Date Recipes

At GOSH, we know that during Ramadan it is common to break fasts with dates. We have worked with our GOSH Dieticians for some new, easy and healthy date recipes.

Coconut Chocolate Dates, Makes 12 

Ingredients:

1 cup shredded coconut 

1 cup dates 

1/4 tsp salt 

2 tbsp cacao powder 

Instructions:

  1. Add the coconut, salt and cacao power to the food processer. Produce a fine texture. 
  2. Add in the dates to the food processor and process until a dough-like texture is formed. 
  3. Using your hands, form the dough into small round shapes.
  4. Enjoy!

Coconut Banana Dates, makes 12 

Ingredients 

1 cup shredded coconut 

1 cup 1 cup dates (pitted and soaked for 1-2 mins in warm water) 

1/4 tsp salt 

1/4 ripe banana or 1/2 small banana 

Instructions 

  1. Add the coconut and salt to the food processor, producing a fine texture. 
  2. Add in the dates and the banana to the processor, until a dough-like texture is formed. 
  3. Using your hands, form the dough into small round shapes.
  4. Enjoy!

Cranberry Lemon Dates, Makes 12 

Ingredients 

1 cup shredded coconut 

1 cup dates 

1/4 cup dried cranberries 

1/4 tsp salt 

1 tsp lemon zest 

Instructions 

  1. Add the shredded coconut and salt to the food processer, producing a fine texture.
  2. Add the dried cranberries to the food processor and process into small pieces. 
  3. Add the lemon zest and dates into the food processor, until a dough-like texture is formed.
  4. Using your hands, form the dough into small round shapes.
  5. Enjoy!
