Mr Giuliani holds a PhD in developmental biology from the University of Padova (Italy) and he is Honorary Senior Lecturer at UCL. His main research focuses are: necrotizing enterocolitis in premature babies, minimally invasive surgical techniques, oncology and neonatal surgical outcomes. 

He has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly presents his research at national and international conferences.
