Nursing staff discussing cases on Butterfly Ward

Overview

The Paediatric Dermatology department is the largest unit of its kind in the UK and is staffed by consultant paediatric dermatologists who work full time only with children’s skin diseases.  As a result, the care your child will receive is the most specialist available in the UK. Many of the consultants are internationally renowned for their expertise in paediatric dermatology.

GOSH international and private care offers a very broad range of services for paediatric patients who have severe skin disorders, seeing around 4,300 children each year as outpatients and hundreds more as inpatients and day patients.

We provide a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment service, with a full range of blood tests, skin biopsy and other investigations available to obtain an accurate diagnosis for your child and institute the best management. Furthermore, the paediatric dermatology department is world-leading in research into the cause and treatment of diseases affecting the skin.
